The Château Saint Poly is the second wine of Château Ferrand Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé, a splendid cellar of 30 hectares located east of Saint-Emilion and belongs to the family of Baron Bich (pen BIC) since 1978. GRAPES : 75% Merlot 15% Cabernet Franc 10% Cabernet Sauvignon 14% vol.
LOCATION : The Vineyard is located nearby Chateau Cheval Blanc.
SOIL : Clay and Lime Stone
VINIFICATION : Fermentation with indigenous yeasts to exalt the characteristics of the terroir, and a long maceration and fermentation of about six weeks in cements vats.
AGEING IN BARREL : 18 Months
COLOR : Intense ruby color
NOSE : Ripe red fruits, blackcurrant and cherry with a touch of oak.
MOUTH : Rich and complex with an excellent balance and an elegant tannin.
SERVICE : Between 16 & 18ºC.
